I talk with Italian novelist, journalist and script writer Ilaria Bernardini. Together we talk about our first meeting and how Ilaria then transformed me into a character in one of her novels. Ilaria describes her relationship with her daily writing practise, how she works with her feelings of fear and how she manifested and wrote her partner into her life. She also shares how her love of adventure has shaped her life and how Wim Hof’s breathwork method has helped her to find strength and reduce stress.
Ilaria Bernardini is an Italian screenwriter and author of 8 novels based in Milan and London. Her latest Italian novel, Faremo Foresta (‘We Will Grow a Forest’) was longlisted for Italy’s prestigious Strega Prize. She writes columns forVogue and is a regular contributor for Rolling Stone and GQ magazines. She also co-wrote the late renowned director Bernardo Bertolucci’s last film, The Echo Chamber.
